About Clarke

The operator behind the systems.

Clarke is an independent, UK-based AI systems builder for creator workflows and visual production. He spent years watching good ideas get worn down by the grind of producing them, and eventually got more interested in fixing the grind than in doing another round of it.

It started with wanting to build the thing myself.

Art came first, long before any of this was a job. Not as a career plan: as the only way to get what was in my head out into something real, built from the ground up rather than commissioned from someone else. Photoshop was the first tool that actually let me do that, so I learned it properly. Logos followed, then paid identity work, then whole visual systems.

Somewhere in there the interesting problem stopped being the mark and started being the machine that produces it. That is the line from design to AI systems, and it is a straight one.

Very little of that work is public. Most of it, well past ninety per cent, sits under private agreements or belongs to people who would rather not be named, so the archive stays deliberately short and always will. The standard behind it does not change: a thing is finished when it holds up without its designer in the room.

Today that judgment is being made repeatable. I build production systems for a small number of clients, and separately I am building Transora, the AI creative workflow operating system, out of my own research and my own production. Client work stays the client’s: what they pay for is theirs, it is covered by agreement, and none of it feeds the product. What carries across is judgment, nothing else. The person who scopes a system designs it, builds it, and stands behind it. That is the whole model.

Off the desk, I am usually training on the mats. The public build runs at @clarkesdirective.
