Privacy
Short, because there is little to tell.
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics trackers, and loads nothing from third-party servers. The only personal data it touches is what you type into a form.
What is collected, and why
Two forms exist. The founding-access form stores your email address, two answers about what you create and want to improve, and which page you claimed from, so the first seats fit the product. The enquiry form stores your name, email address, message, chosen enquiry type, and an optional link, so your enquiry can be read and answered. Each row carries the time it was submitted, and founding-access rows also record whether a confirmation email went out. That is the complete list. The lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to requests you initiate.
Where it lives, and who touches it
Clarke is the data controller (UK). Submissions are written to a private Postgres database hosted by Supabase, which acts as a processor and stores the data on Clarke's behalf. The table is closed to public access: row-level security is on, the anonymous and signed-in roles have no grants, and only the server-side key used by this site's own form endpoint can read or write it.
The site itself is served by Vercel, which acts as a processor for hosting and runs the form endpoint. If you claim a founding seat, a transactional email provider acts as a processor for that one confirmation message and receives your address in order to deliver it. Nothing else is shared, nothing is sold, nothing is enriched, and no marketing platform ever receives the list.
One more thing worth stating plainly, because it is the only data collected from you that you did not type. To stop one person flooding the forms, your IP address is recorded against a short-lived counter: a row holding the address, a timestamp, and a number of attempts, kept apart from your submission and deleted automatically after a day. It is never attached to what you sent, and it is not used for anything but that count.
How long, and your rights
- Founding-access entries are kept until access opens or you ask to be removed.
- Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation stays relevant.
- Email hello@clarkesdirective.com to see, correct, or delete anything held about you. Deletion is actioned on request.
- You also have the right to complain to the ICO, though the aim is that you never need to.
